Experiencing My First Month at Home with Live It Missions

Starting a new chapter in life often brings a mix of excitement and uncertainty. After returning to Mexico, I found myself stepping into a fresh season with opportunities to serve, reconnect, and grow. In just one month, I have been able to engage in various ministries, launch new initiatives, and even start selling fresh coffee to support some expenses. This journey has been marked by constant prayer and seeking guidance, alongside the joy of reconnecting with family and friends. Here’s a closer look at how this first month unfolded and what I’ve learned along the way.

Ministry Opportunities

Jumping in...

One of the most rewarding parts of this new season has been the ability to jump into ministry work almost immediately. Rather than waiting for all the clarity I desire, I embraced the opportunities that presented themselves. This proactive approach allowed me to start as a supportive role in local church worship and with worship and games at a youth camp. It has been fun to serve along old friends and meet new people that have been added to the church while I was in the US. It has been such a blessing to see how the ministry here has been thriving! And on Easter Sunday Conexión Live church celebrated more than 40 baptisms. Praise the Lord!

New ministries...

I have been able to start a couple of new ministries that focus on community outreach and spiritual growth.

One ministry centers on young adults. Sunday evenings I started having Lift, an extension of the Young Adult Ministry I started with Sofia Marquez in Wills Point Texas. Our mission is to be a growing community of young adults that enjoy life with Christ, worship, talk about God’s Word and encourage one another to live intentionally for Jesus. Both groups in East TX and here in MX are doing great! We pray God continues to reach and disciple young adults through Lift.

Another new ministry is "Monday Run-Day". I have been inviting women to invite their friends and start the week off with excercise and time with the Lord. Some walk, some jog, and while they do they are encouraged to connect with God using a hand-out guide I give them. We finish together with some reflection and worship, then pray for the upcoming week. I hope this plants the seed of the Word of God in their lives and they bring more women to join us. I have been encouraged because many of the women who come do not attend a church yet.

These ministries are still in their early stages, but the response has been encouraging.

Potential ministry...

I was able to lead a mission team in an outreach "Kid's Club" in a town we have not minstered to before. It went very well! Since there was such a good response, I intend to start a weekly ministry their to start reaching kids and youth.

Honesty, Prayer and Seeking Guidance

Prayer has been a vital source of strength during this transition. Moving and starting new projects can be overwhelming, and I seek God's clarity and guidance. Returning to a familiar yet different place is challenging; I'm not the same person (Praise God), nor am I doing the same things. I must keep my heart and mind in Christ, trusting Him. I sometimes feel lonely and desire more personal connections, but I trust God to provide these. I've experienced spiritual warfare, emphasizing the need for prayer and reliance on God. He is my daily source of hope, strength, and care, and I'm grateful for His presence and provision. I am expectant for what He has planned.

And yes I know, I have only been here a month lol and I must be patient. God is in control.

Reconnecting with Family and Friends

One of the greatest blessings of returning to Mexico has been the chance to reconnect with family and friends. Spending time with loved ones has offered moments of rest and joy.

Looking Ahead with Hope and Purpose

That is a summary of my first month of life and minstry with Live It Missions. I am very grateful for your prayers and encouragement.

If you are lead to give a financial gift, you can through my website.

If you would like to reach out to me, please do!

If I can pray for you or be of service, please let me know.

May each day we be faithful to love the Lord with all our hearts and to love others. When we lay down at night, may we have the peace of knowing we did that and were faithful to do God's will where we are.

I love you friends and I love to be on mission with Jesus - Bethany

Dearest Bethany,

Loving The Lord and His people is His will, and you are doing that so well and with so much creativity and passion! You are such a blessing to all you come into contact with. Praying for our Lord’s continued protection from the enemy, His provision for every need (including financial and personal connections), His direction, His continual presence, and His peace and joy as you serve Him. Praying for many, many salvations and disciples!

Much love,

Cindy
